Kym with Hannibal at the end of the the Powerslam XXI show last November. Thank you NWF for sharing the photo.
Hello everyone.
Recently, this blogger began doing a series on some wrestlers that are on promotions that this blog covers. The Alexis Lee story was well promoted and in a way that was very positive in nature. The next one will be about someone that some readers don't know of. However, you'll know a little more after reading this.
A few months ago, this blogger became friends on Facebook with a wrestler by the name of Kym. I'm not sure how we met exactly. However, he's been a major part of reading the blog and contributing in a big way.
Kym was born in Thailand and now lives in Oslo, Norway. He started training as a pro wrestler back in April 2022. It was right at the time when the Norwegian Wrestling Federation (Norges Wrestleforbund), the top promotion in Norway, resumed their shows once again. This was due to the Covid-19 outbreak that affected promotions worldwide.
A little over a year later, The Asian Dragon (per the announcer) made his wrestling debut in an event in Bergen. Amazingly that day, Kym wrestled twice (a singles match and part of a 10-man tag team encounter).
Kym continued to wrestle mostly in singles competition until around May 2024. This is when the team, Inferno was born. Kym would team up with Rayo Flores, a wrestler born in Argentina, and the excitement would just begin.
This blogger had a chance to watch a You Tube video of Inferno in action against Hjertebank (Heartbeat in English). The fans, at the Sagene Festival House in Oslo, were electric when they entered the ring that day. They would win the first round match. Unfortunately, they would lose a Triple Threat match for the NWF Tag Team Titles later that day. However, the feeling was that it was only a matter of time when the fans would see gold around their waists!
In November at NWF's major event, Powerslam XXI in Oslo, Inferno would get their redemption. This blogger has seen clips of the match. The sellout crowd of around 600 fans that night would see Kym, along with Rayo Flores win the NWF Tag Team Belts in a Triple Threat rematch from back in May. The fans were electric that night!
Though losing to Hovedstaden for the belts in January, Kym, along with Rayo, are looking for redemption sometime in 2025. Looking at the future, Kym is definitely exciting to watch. He's young, energetic and works well whether it's in singles or tag team competition. He, as well as Rayo have a great future ahead. If this fan was a wrestler, Kym would definitely be my partner anytime!
