Hello everyone. The following is for wrestling fans I know in Southeast Asia but wanted to share this publicly.
When this blogger recently said on his Facebook timeline, "it's now Football and Pro Wrestling season if you know what I mean!" It is around where he lives.
In preparation for SummerSlam, a show or two in the area in August, the upcoming Southeast Asia trip, and WWE in October, this blogger will be going to my first wrestling show since January.
Here in San Francisco, about seven kilometers from home, West Coast Pro Wrestling puts on several shows a year from the United Irish Cultural Center. It's actually better to get to by public transportation (MUNI) than looking for parking so this is a must. A couple of well known names such as Cedrick Alexander (WWE) will wrestle at this show. There will be six to seven quality matches on the card. WCPW has never disappointed this fan.
Also in the area on Saturday is East Bay Pro Wrestling, an independent company out of Pacheco (in the Concord area of the Bay Area in the East Bay). They have numerous shows throughout the year.
The following weekend is WWE SummerSlam, a two day event at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ near New York. This blogger enjoys this more than Wrestlemania. Just my opinion here!
Then, I just bought a ticket for an upcoming show in Alameda over in the East Bay (about the cost of each of the FPW and PUSO shows in the Philippines). Stars Of Wrestling, a young company of about three years is about to put on a whale of a show!
This show will take place on Saturday, August 9th at the Alameda Point Gym. I've never been to the location before but it's a great place to watch an event per sources.
Just announced is the TNA Intercontinental Champion, Steve Maclin going up against TNA's legendary Moose (whom I've seen a couple of times in the area). AEW Aubrey Edwards, a trailblazer in the pro wrestling industry will be there. Also, one of my all time favorites, WWE's Carlito will be there. This blogger will share more of this in a few days.
For those who cannot get enough of pro wrestling in the area, there's the Big Time Wrestling event in Newark at the Newark Pavilion, the night before.
Yes, it's pro wrestling season!
