Yesterday, this blogger mentioned about an event that Dexcon (Philippines) that will happen the weekend of August 22-24.  Today, there has been one additional item mentioned.  This blogger will let Dexcon share it with you.  I'll say that the poster is definitely eye-awakening amd impressive!

FPW Astig July Show Update #5

Hello everyone!

 

One match has been added for Filipino Pro Wrestling's show, FPW Astig.  The event will take place on Sunday, July 13th, 2pm at the Baked Studios in Makati City.

 

In the fourth and final Metro Manila Championship Qualifier match, Thiago will be taking on Mharckie in what should be one exciting encounter.

PUSO Wrestling Karera Show Update #2

Hello everyone!

 

Have some updates here regarding PUSO Wrestling's next show, Karera.  The event takes place on Sunday, July 6th, 6pm at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City.

 

In tag team action, Hakai Mateo and Alien Friend known as Otaku Alien will take on Aaron and Salomon Liwanag known as Bahay Ng Liwanag.

 

Also, in another tag team match, Patricia Ligaia and El Kapitunero known as Super Friends will take on Ken Cifer and a partner yet to be named.

 

And yet, another tag team encounter will have HSSLs Joya and Joey Rosas taking on MSGs Chelsea and Ravena. 

 

Also, the mysterious White Shirt will be in action.  Super P, recovering from injuries will be at the show.

TOP Dojo Breaking Point Results

Hello everyone.

 

Here are the results from TOP Dojo's show, Breaking Point.  The show was held this past Sunday, June 22nd at the Motorway Dojo.  Congratulations to Jay Yuu on becoming the new King Of Thai Champion.  

 

Also, congrats to Prince Benny in defending the championship the way a champion defends a title.  Prince Benny took on all comers as well as defending it in a three way match where the odd of keeping the title are less than a one-on-one match. 

 

KUMA defeated Brother Bhai (Ring Of Rebirth)

WASSANA and Golem Thai went to a 15 minute draw with no winner.

Aerial Sniper NYC (Ring Of Rebirth) and Best Boonpa defeated Silverbullet and P-Nutz in a Mix-Clan Tag Match.

Jay Yuu d. Kuhan and Prince Benny (c) and is the new King Of Thai Wrestling Champion!

FPW Astig July Show Update #4

Hello everyone.

 

FPW Astig's next show is scheduled for Sunday, July 13th at the Baked Studios in Makati City beginning at 2pm.

 

One additional match has been added to the show.  The Punk Rock Maiden, Robynn, will be taking on SIGMA's Jason Rex in a one-on-one qualifying match.  It's for the inaugural Metro Manila Championship that was just announced a few days ago.  This fan knows that Robynn will have their hands full.  However, becoming the inaugural champion of any kind is an incentive for anyone on the FPW roster.

Dexcon's Next Events

Hello everyone.

 

Been a little while since the blogger has posted about Dexcon.  However, they've been a lot more busy that I have in preparing for their next event.  Also, this post may be a little lengthy, so please bear with me. 

 

For wrestling fans, especially in the Philippines, please make plans for the weekend of August 22-24 (Friday-Sunday).

 

It was announced per Dexcon that the event will kick off on Friday, August 22.  The event is the Manila debut of Baka Gaijin + Friends, a wild, must-see show featuring some of the most exciting and unpredictable wrestlers around.  The event will take place at The Social House in Circuit Makati, Ground Floor, Circuit Lane. 

 

Chris Brookes, no stranger to Dexcon and to pinoy wrestling fans, will be there for the event.

 

Speaking of Chris, the  DDT Pro KO-D Champion will be bringing an exciting wrestler with him by the name of Takeshi Masada to the three day event.  The event is in its very early stages so no opponents for them have yet to be named.  However, this fan knows that the opponents will be. more than worthy for the two mentioned.

 

Also, just a few days ago, it has been revealed that Dexcon has a new match maker.  Miguel Navarro, the match maker with World Underground Wrestling - Philippines, now has a dual role.  I'm sure we will hear from Miguel in the coming days about his new position.  And, maybe we will know more about a disappearance of the former match maker......

 

Tickets are not yet available for the three day weekend of August 22-24.  However, it may be a good idea to mark your calendars.  Knowing Dexcon like this fan does, they do not disappoint, and they won't disappoint this time either.

PUSO Wrestling Livestream VI Results

Hello everyone.

 

Here are the results from PUSO Livestream VI show that was held last Sunday, June 22nd at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City.  It was the first time this blogger had a chance to see two future young wrestlers in Gabriel Arcangel and Elmo.  The two opposed each other in part of a six person tag match.  Also, White Shirt was impressive in one of the other six person tag matches.

FPW Astig July Show Update #3

Hello everyone.

 

FPW Astig's next show will take place on Sunday, July 13th, Baked Studios in Makati City beginning at 2pm.

 

There have been a couple of matches and an announcement made since the last post.

 

First, Filipino Pro Wrestling has announced a new championship called the FPW Metro Manila Championship. There will be several qualifying matches to determine the inaugural champion.

 

The first qualifying match announced will feature the "Best Pure Wrestler" Ralph Imabayashi against The "King Of Pinoy Strong Style" Rex Lawin.  I don't know if this blogger mentioned this before, but it's great to see Rex Lawin back in the ring.

 

Also, "The Duke Of Shoot" Duke Ortega will take on Proximo in another qualifying match.

IWA SETUP EP02 - Whiplash Update #5

Hello everyone.

 

IWA SETUP EP02's next show, Whiplash. will take place this coming Saturday, June 28th at The Circus Studio beginning at 5:30pm.

 

Apologies to everyone for not getting this out earlier.  There is one match added to the show since the last post.

 

In a Loser Leaves Town Special Singles match, two of my favorites in Southeast Asian pro wrestling, Steve The Teacher will go one on one against Kru Pol.

 

This match will definitely be interesting.  Steve The Teacher is the veteran wrestler who has wrestled in America, China, Philippines and now, Thailand.  He has wrestled several times now in SETUP shows.  This blogger had a chance to meet him back in August 2023, the day that he made his return to the squared circle after an absence due to the covid pandemic.

 

Kru Pol, not yet the veteran, but improving in the square circle, is younger, getting more experience with each match, and is looking to take this match to the next level.  I've talked briefly with Kru Pol and he's excited at this opportunity.    

 

Yes, they are both teachers in their own right but which one will pass the exam and go to the next level?  And which one will stay in Thailand after this encounter?

PUSO Wrestling Karera Show Update #1

Hello everyone.

 

PUSO Wrestling's next show, Karera, will take place on Sunday, July 6th at the Brawl Pit Bulusan, Quezon City, beginning at 6pm.

 

Since the last post a few days ago, three matches have been added to the show.

 

First and foremost, the SETUP Thailand 24/7 Championship will be on the line.  RGT's, Jake De Leon, the champion will take on Isaiah Valencia.  In this fan's mind, this will be Isaiah's biggest match in his young career.

 

Also, there will be a #1 Contender's match for the Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Championship in a five way encounter.  The participants will be Danny Zamora, Jomar, Fabio Makisig, Nigel San Jose and Crystal.

 

Also, Super Friends, Patricia Ligaia and El Kapitunero have issued an open challenge for a tag team match.  Who will step up and be their opponents?

 

Finally, already mentioned from the previous post, "The Red Lightning" - Robin Sane will face the Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Champion, Main Maxx for the title.

FPW Astig July Show Update #2

Hello everyone.

 

Filipino Pro Wrestling's next show, FPW Astig will take place on Sunday, July 13th, Baked Studios beginning at 2pm.

 

Since the last post, one match has been added to the show.  The Yolo Twins, in this fan's opinion as the best tag team in Southeast Asia, will have their hands full on this day.  They will take on Grapplemax Pro Wrestling Singapore's Big Dave and Julian Creed.  I believe for both wrestlers, this will be the first time in an FPW event.

 

Both wrestlers are very experienced in the ring.  Big Dave was the first Grapplemax singles champion with the promotion.

IWA SETUP EP02 - Whiplash Update #4

Hello everyone.

 

Since this blogger's last post, there have been two matches added for the Whiplash show.  The event will take place on Saturday, June 28th, The Circus Studio, G Village,  beginning at 5:30pm.

 

In a crucial match in the Uprising Series - Group B, Pondhub (2 pts) will take on Gunn (1 pt) in a 10 minute singles match.  Gunn needs to win the match outright to move on while Pondhub only needs to draw, or win of course.

 

In the other scheduled match, set up as a GM Terry Diesel Special Match, the challengers, Gatekeeper and Flame Drake will take on The Good Deal for the IWA Setup World Tag Team Championship.

FPW Astig July Show Update #1

Hello everyone.

 

FPW Astig's next show will take place on Sunday, July 13th, 2pm at the Baked Studios in Makati City.

 

Wrestling fans know that a new FPW Champion will be crowned in one match that afternoon/evening.  There is one other match that has been just announced.

 

SPD from Grapplemax Pro Wrestling Singapore will return to the Philippines to wrestle Cali Nueva in a singles match in what will be a very good encounter.

TOP Dojo Breaking Point Update #3

Hello everyone.

 

A huge match has been added to the TOP Dojo (Thailand) show, Breaking Point.  The event takes place on Sunday, June 22md at the Motorway Dojo beginning at 12:30pm.

 

Prince Benny will put the King Of Thai Wrestling Championship on the line against two challengers, Kuhan, who has wrestled with Ring Of Rebirth Singapore,  and Jay Yuu in a three way match.  This blogger is not certain on this but in these types of matches, the Champion must either pin or have an opponent submit in order to retain the title.  Will get a clarification on this asap.

Grapplemax NWE Showcase 3 Update

IWA Thailand EP02 - Whiplash Update #3

Hello everyone.

 

IWA Thailand's next show, Whiplash, will take place on Saturday, June 28th.  The venue is The Circus Studio, G Village, Bangkok beginning at 5:30pm.

 

Matcha, the 4th women's champion, will be making her first defense of the SETUP All Asia Women's Championship against Poppy Shay from Malaysia.  This will be definitely a dream match for both competitors.
