IWA SETUP EP02 - Whiplash Update #6

Here is the lineup of matches for the IWA SETUP EP02 - Whiplash show scheduled for Saturday, June 28th.  The event is taking place at The Circus Studio - G Village beginning at 5:30pm.

 

IWA SETUP World Championship Hardcore Match - The Great Kappa vs. Jonathan Johnson.

Fatal 4 Way Beer Match - The Biggest Fan, Blick Drewz, The Wonderboy (Malaysia Pro Wrestling) and Jeney w/Ai Uehara as the Special Referee.

Shivam (MYPW SEA Champion) and member of RGT vs. Da Butcherman (SPW SEA Champion) in a Winner Take All Match.

SETUP All Asia Women's Championship Match - Matcha (c) vs. Poppy Shay (Malaysia Pro Wrestling).

Uprising Series Block B Singles Match - Gunn (1 point) vs. Pondhub (2 points).

IWA SETUP World Tag Team Championship - The Good Deal (Anont Alonzo and Mr. Suchart) (c) vs. Gatekeeper and Flame Drake.

Steve The Teacher vs. Kru Pol in a Loser Leaves Town Special Singles Match.

IWA SETUP EP02 - Whiplash Update #5

Hello everyone.

 

IWA SETUP EP02's next show, Whiplash. will take place this coming Saturday, June 28th at The Circus Studio beginning at 5:30pm.

 

Apologies to everyone for not getting this out earlier.  There is one match added to the show since the last post.

 

In a Loser Leaves Town Special Singles match, two of my favorites in Southeast Asian pro wrestling, Steve The Teacher will go one on one against Kru Pol.

 

This match will definitely be interesting.  Steve The Teacher is the veteran wrestler who has wrestled in America, China, Philippines and now, Thailand.  He has wrestled several times now in SETUP shows.  This blogger had a chance to meet him back in August 2023, the day that he made his return to the squared circle after an absence due to the covid pandemic.

 

Kru Pol, not yet the veteran, but improving in the square circle, is younger, getting more experience with each match, and is looking to take this match to the next level.  I've talked briefly with Kru Pol and he's excited at this opportunity.    

 

Yes, they are both teachers in their own right but which one will pass the exam and go to the next level?  And which one will stay in Thailand after this encounter?

IWA SETUP EP02 - Whiplash Update #4

Hello everyone.

 

Since this blogger's last post, there have been two matches added for the Whiplash show.  The event will take place on Saturday, June 28th, The Circus Studio, G Village,  beginning at 5:30pm.

 

In a crucial match in the Uprising Series - Group B, Pondhub (2 pts) will take on Gunn (1 pt) in a 10 minute singles match.  Gunn needs to win the match outright to move on while Pondhub only needs to draw, or win of course.

 

In the other scheduled match, set up as a GM Terry Diesel Special Match, the challengers, Gatekeeper and Flame Drake will take on The Good Deal for the IWA Setup World Tag Team Championship.
