Causeway Jam Main Event

Hello
  everyone.

Causeway Jam, the upcoming show featuring wrestlers from Grapplemax Pro Wrestling Singapore and Malaysia Pro Wrestling, is a major event in Southeast Asia pro wrestling history.  The event will take place on Saturday, February 22nd beginning at 7:30pm at the Grapplemax Studios in Singapore.

The upcoming Main Event between Grapplemax Openweight Champion, Hotshot and Malaysia Pro Wrestling's, The Wonderboy is an intriguing one.  Since the last post, The Wonderboy will have his tag team partner, Miles Karu in his corner.

Hotshot, as I mentioned in the last post, has held the Grapplemax title for over 450 days now.  He defeated Big Dave (or Smart Dave) for the belt back in November 2023.  Dave won the initial title by defeating Wildfire Remus in December 2022.

Hotshot has been undefeated in singles competition since winning the belt, and has defended it several times.  Also, in a non title match last April, he defeated Michael Su from Hong Kong Pro Wrestling at an Amplify event.  That is no small task since Michael Su is one of the top wrestlers, if not the top, in the promotion!

However, this is not his first time against The Wonderboy.  I believe it was last October at another Amplify event, The Wonderboy and Poppy were victorious in a tag team match against Hotshot and Divya.  There was the championship belt that The Wonderboy used to help him pin Hotshot.  The Grapplemax Champion is definitely looking for redemption in this one.

For more information, including tickets, which are limited, please visit the Grapplemax Pro Wrestling and Malaysia Pro Wrestling Facebook pages.  Both promotions can also be found on social media platforms such as Instagram and You Tube.  Thank you.

Bitman (HKPWF) Wrestling In Mexico

However, hope all of you will enjoy the following post.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to see three Hong Kong Pro Wrestlers in a show in the Philippines.  Bitman, Michael Su and legendary wrestler, Ho Ho Lun were a part of the Manila Wrestling Federation Noche Buena show.  You could say I was in awe of watching all three for the first time.

In 2024, Hong Kong Pro Wrestling Federation (or HKPWF) has been working tirelessly to expand the promotion through cooperation with promotions in China, Japan and Mexico (yes Mexico!) as well as Europe and Asia.

This weekend, and it is already a huge weekend for pro wrestling worldwide with the NJPW event in Tokyo, Bitman will be in a tag team - three way event which is a main event of the show.  The event is held on Sunday in Veracruz, Mexico beginning at 6:30pm local time.

Bitman and El Fiscal will face Cibernetico & Murder Clown along with another team, Texano Jr. and Super Nova.  Cibernetico is a former AAA Mega Champion.  AAA is a major wrestling promotion in Mexico.

This blogger will share more of what happened in the show in the upcoming days.

MWF: Hong Kong-Philippine Alliance Cup Match

On Sunday, December 3rd at Manila Wrestling Federation's Noche Buena, there will be a new event for the first time.

A three way match between Michael Su and Bitman from Hong Kong and Joey Rosas with MWF will take place at the PMC Spotlight Theater in one of the major matches on the show.  The Hong Kong-Philippine Alliance Cup will be awarded to the winner for the first time.

For Joey Rosas, this is definitely a great opportunity and his biggest match to date.  In August, after several months as Pink Shirt, he defeated Isaiah Valencia at the 2023 Road To Fate show to make the main roster.

Last month, at a seven man Battle Royal event at the Todos Los Wrestling show in Mandaluyong, he outlasted six other wrestlers and defeated the final wrestler, CJ Serafin to be MWF's representative.

Joey has continued to train hard since making the roster.  The message seen on social media is that he's taking this opportunity seriously.

For Michael Su and Bitman, both wrestlers have been in big matches before in Hong Kong and throughout Asia.  Both wrestlers were trained by Ho Ho Lun.  He will be wrestling in the December 3rd show and in a Number One Contender's match against Rex Lawin.

Both wrestlers are 30 years old with Bitman, I believe, a little taller in height but both well built. Bitman has wrestled a little bit longer.

Recently, Bitman wrestled in China and won the KOPW Title over Black Dragon in early November, no small feat.

Michael Su's last match was a three way match for the vacant AWGC Junior Heavyweight Title against Ricky Marvin and Mikey Man.  Marvin ended up winning the title in late October in Hong Kong.

Some fans may believe that Joey might be over his head in this kind of match.  However, this fan looks at this a bit differently.  Three way matches in pro wrestling are always interesting.  Usually, it is with a title on the line.  This time, it is for the inaugural cup so the stakes are definitely higher.  Also, from watching the recent Battle Royal against six other competitors, Joey handled himself well winning on his own.

Bitman and Michael Su know each other well since they were trained by the same mentor.  They wrestled in an MWF ring before in 2019 at the MWF Republika event as a tag team.

Since this cup goes to one winner, it will be interesting how this turns out.

MWF: Noche Buena Update #3

Have an update on the Manila Wrestling Federation's show, Noche Buena scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd beginning at 4:30pm.

As of three hours ago, there were ONLY five ringside tickets left.  This means once they are gone, only General Admission tickets will be left.  This fan was told the last time in the PMC Spotlight Theater that the event holds 300 people for an MWF event.

SO, if you plan on going, please secure your ticket as soon as possible!  There is no question that this Noche Buena will be the best wrestling show this year, and for that matter, possibly all time.

Now, since the last update, there have been two matches added.

First, the Hong Kong-Philippine Cup entrants have been set.  It will be Michael Su vs. Bitman vs. Joey Rosas in a three way match for the Cup.  I will share more about the competitors and the match in a future post.

The other added match will be El Kapitunero vs. Brother Benny in a singles match.  It has just been mentioned to this blogger that this will be Brother Benny's debut in the ring!

For more info on remaining tickets and the show itself, please check the Manila Wrestling Federation - MWF page on Facebook.

Manila Wrestling Federation Update

While waiting on the upcoming MWF show, Noche Buena, there is plenty of things to watch.

Rock Of Manila TV and Gank (streaming) are still showing episodes of the Tuloy And Laban series that took place in September.  Please check on where and when the episodes take place.  I believe in the Metro Manila area, Rock Of Manila TV is on Channel 6!  The channel can now be seen in most of the country.  To the Pinoy wrestling fans seeing this, please let your friends know this bit of information!

Also, soon, there will be episodes of this past Sunday's Todos Los Wrestling show that took place at Mandala Park in Mandaluyong.

Finally, I didn't mention this in the last post.  Since it is now out, I'll share it.  Hong Kong Pro Wrestling Federation wrestlers, Ho Ho Lun, Bitman and Michael Su will all be appearing at the Noche Buena show in December.  Ho Ho Lun is a former MWF Wrestling Champion who has wrestled all over Southeast Asia and was with WWE.  It should be a very interesting afternoon and evening at the PMC Spotlight Theater.

Tickets are going quickly as I mentioned in the last post.  Please check the Manila Wrestling Federation page on Facebook for more information.
