VPW Saigon Slam Update #5

Hello everyone.

 

One more match has been added to Vietnam Pro Wrestling's Saigon Slam show on Saturday, April 19th at the VAIB Studio D7 in Ho Chi Minh City.  The show will begin at 7pm.

 

This match is a main event, not only in Vietnam, but anywhere in Southeast Asia.  Emman Azman, formerly with  Malaysia Pro Wrestling, will take on co-founder of VPW in Rocky Huynh.

 

Emman Azman, in recent years, wrestled in Australia, and was a champion with the Pro Wrestling League promotion.  He got his wrestling start with Malaysia Pro Wrestling a few years ago and was trained by both Shaukat and Carlo Cannon, two great wrestlers in Malaysia.  This will be Azman's first visit to Vietnam.

 

All of VPW wrestling fans know of Rocky Huynh.  He was won the VPW Openweight Title on two occasions and is looking forward to getting another title shot soon.  Also, this will be his first match, to this blogger's knowledge against Azman.

Craven Wins The Purge

Also, there is word from Pro Wrestling League that PWL Champion, Ricky Utomi has been removed from The Purge show due to a confrontation with Yeet Stevens following The Australian Wrestling Super Show earlier in the month.  Any further infractions by Utomi will mean a possible stripping of the PWL Title.

PWL Super Show Update #5

Hello everyone!

 

Here is an update on the Champions vs. All Star 10 man tag team match for the 2025 Australian Wrestling Super Show.

 

It will be Zak Sabbath, Levi Nixon, PWL Champion - Ricky Utomi, Jake Taylor & Thirteen vs. Edward Dusk, Matt Hayter, Yeet Stevens, Emman Azman & Jesse Love.

 

The event will take place next Friday, February 14th at the Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane, Australia at 8:30pm.  Only standing room tickets remain as of this post.  Please check the Pro Wrestling League (Australia) Facebook page for more information.  

 

The reason for the Friday show IS because of a PLE in Brisbane on Saturday called AEW Grand Slam Australia at the Brisbane Entertainment Center.  Just saying!  Have a good weekend everyone!

There has been one additional match added for PWL's (Australia) Super Show scheduled for Friday, February 14th.  The location is the Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane, Australia beginning at 8:30pm.

 

Strong 94, the PWL Tag Team Champions, will have their hands full.  They will put the titles on the line in a 4-way Ladder Match!  Their opponents are The Dropouts, Team QWA and The Ambush.

PWL Super Show Update #4

Hello everyone!

 

Pro Wrestling League's Super Show has announced a couple more matches for their show scheduled for Friday, February 14th.  The venue is the Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane beginning at 6:30pm.

 

There will be a fatal four way match between Lochy Hendricks, Bobby Bishop, Jack Bonza and The Don.  From seeing some video, this will definitely be a wild encounter.

 

Also, Jake Taylor joins the Champions team that was selected by Ricky Utomi, the PWL Champion.

PWL Super Show Update #3

There have been several updates regarding the PWL Super Show coming up on Friday, February 14th in Australia.

 

Matt Hayter and Emman Azman, well known in Southeast Asia with Malaysia Pro Wrestling will be in the show and joining the All Stars in a match.

 

Also, as one sees in the pic above, Robbie Eagles vs, Mitch Ryder vs, Zeke Andino will square off in a Triple Threat Match.

Pro Wrestling League (Australia) has added one match to its next show, The Australian Wrestling Super Show.  The event is at the Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane on Friday, February 14th.

 

Rip Rielly will face Caveman Ugg in a match that is termed as "Battle Of The Beasts."

PWL Super Show Update #1

Hello everyone.

 

Pro Wrestling League (Brisbane, Australia) will have their first show on Friday, February 14, 2025.  The name of the show is the 2025 Australian Wrestling Super Show. The venue is the Eatons Hill Hotel.

 

One match has been announced for the show thus far.  Aysha, the Renegades Of Wrestling Women's Champion, will face Lena Kross and PWL's Lil Marz in a Triple Threat Match.

Pro Wrestling League

Soon, this blogger will be expanding the Southeast Asia blog to include at least one promotion in Australia.

 

Jelson, a huge wrestling fan who formerly lived in the Philippines, and moved to Brisbane, Australia a couple of months ago, mentioned Pro Wrestling League.  From a brief look at their page, the wrestling promotion has been going strong since 2018.  Ricky Utomi (or Rufio according to Cagematch) is currently the PWL Champion.

 

Their next show, the 2025 Australian Super Show, will take place on Friday, February 14th.  I'll share more about the upcoming show in the upcoming days.

 

Shortly, I'll add a page to share some of the history of the promotion.

 

Also, in the next few days, I'll be posting some past results that I missed from various promotions over the past year (Pro Wrestling League, Thailand Origin Pro Wrestling, Kyushu Pro Wrestling, New Taiwan Wrestling and PWS Korea).  My apologies regarding this.
