The Life Of A Pro Wrestler

Hello everyone.

Pro wrestling has been something I've followed since The Stone Ages (just kidding).  Actually, it's something I've followed going back to The Territory Era.

Each promotion that this fan has followed over the years, and different wrestling eras, has their peaks and valleys in popularity.  Also, each promotion has their champions, mid card type wrestlers and something that is known as jobbers.

When I think of a "jobber", the first wrestler that always comes to mind was WWE's The Brooklyn Brawler.  Any time this fan watched him perform on television, and once at the Cow Palace at a WWE show, he would have his moments in a match.  However, the fans knew he would come up just short of a victory.

This morning, when waking up, I saw this post regarding Filipino Pro Wrestling's, Dax Xaviera (see pic above).  This blogger had a chance to meet, and to interview Dax back in August 2023.  Like all the interviews done on this blog, Dax, like every wrestler that have been interviewed, has been cordial, professional and great to talk with.  I've purchased wrestling shirts from him in the past, and hopefully later this year when I'm back in the Philippines.  They are one of quality.  I recommend to all wrestling fans, especially in the Philippines, to check out Dax Clothing on Facebook and other social media sites!

Personally, I don't believe Dax is in the category of "a jobber."  Hopefully, this post is not to portray that he is.  This fan saw Dax in a match against Sam Baltazar in August 2023 at FPW Astig.  The match, like all the matches at the show, were one of quality.  The fans who were there at the PMC Spotlight Theater that Sunday afternoon did see quality, entertaining and exciting wrestling.

Dax's track record speaks for itself.  He wrestled for a another promotion, PWR, prior to when Filipino Pro Wrestling was formed following the covid pandemic.  He did very well in matches for the promotion and was a champion there.

Yes, the chart showing his record may not look good.  However, there is, as they say, light at the end of the tunnel.  Fans at the Baked Studios will definitely see his hand raised in the near future, maybe as early as July 13th.  That is not a prediction.

Speaking of July 13th, for more on the upcoming FPW Astig show, please visit the FPW - Filipino Pro Wrestling Facebook page.  Thank you.
