WUW Philippines - Master Clash Update #2

Hello everyone.

World Underground Wrestling's next show, Master Clash, will take place on Saturday, April 5th beginning at 6pm at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City, Philippines.

As some of you may know already, Aaron Liwanag and Dabid Ravena defeated TZK (Ken Cifer and St. John Martin) at Sunday's Dexcon WrestleStorm 2 show for the WUW Tag Team Championship.  Aaron and Dabid became the seventh tag team and second Filipino team to win the coveted titles. The win broke a string of 455 days that the previous title holders held the title.  That was a record for the longest reign with the title going back to its inception in November 2022.

Liwanag and Rabena will defend the titles at the Master Clash show against an opponent yet to be named.  In the meantime, for more information regarding the April show including tickets, please visit the World Underground Wrestling Philippines -  WUW Philippines Facebook page.  Thank you.

SETUP Thailand Double Cross Update #7

Hello everyone.

There have been several developments since last posting regarding the SETUP Thailand Double Cross show.  The event takes place on Saturday, March 23rd at The Circus Studio beginning at 6:30pm.

First off, the voice of Singapore Pro Wrestling, Darren Chua, will be at this coming Saturday's show in one of the featured matches.  Darren is one of this blogger's favorite wrestling voices in all of Southeast Asia.

Second......Jonathan Johnson took part in a ChocoPro show this past weekend in Japan.  He teamed up with Masa Takanashi in a tag match against Chris Brookes and Munetatsu Nakamura.  This blogger is always amazed at the small area the wrestlers perform in.  However, the show was enjoyable.  Please check out the following link for the show.

Also, in the past few days, Mr. Suchart wrestled Kru Pol on a television show that was televised in Bangkok.  Any time there is something televised live for people to see, that is great for any promotion.  Here is the link regarding the match.  The show is about 65 minutes long (the wrestling match is around 30 minutes into the segment).

Finally, I'm not sure whether to report this or not since it hasn't yet been posted on the SETUP Thailand Facebook page.

However, there is a new SETUP Thailand All Asia Women's Champion.  Raku defeated Pom Harajuku at the TJPW Grand Princess 25 on Sunday at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.  I believe that Raku will face the winner of the Alexis Lee-Matcha match that is this coming Saturday.  That will happen at a future date (edited).  Since there will be an update or two before Saturday, we will let you know the opponent in the future.

Thanks again everyone for reading the long post.  Tickets are still available.  Please visit the SETUP Thailand Pro Wrestling Facebook page for more info.

TOP Dojo New Era Results

Hello everyone.

Here are the results from TOP Dojo (Thailand) New Era show that was held this past Sunday at the Motorway Dojo.

Thank you to everyone who was at the show as well as several fans who took photos and video.  My apologies while I'm learning to speak Thai (since Google Translate is not the best).  Please let me know by Facebook messenger if the results are correct and regarding some changes regarding wrestlers and factions.  Thanks again.

Best Boonpa (Revolution Squad) d. Baphobia in an Exhibition Match.

Silver Bullet (Kaiju) d. P-Nutz (Bad Company).

Wassana (Free Clan) d. Kuma (Kaiju).

Prince Benny (Revolution Squad) vs. Golem Thai (Bad Company) ended up in a DQ or a no contest.  There was Prince Benny and Golem Thai both shoving the referee before Prince Benny "accidently" knocking down the referee.  Then, there was P-Nutz interfering and then, Jay Yuu, who was injured earlier in the week, interfering in the match.  Either way, the title was not on the line.

Next show, I'm told is next month (April 6th ?).  I'll get a clarification and let everyone know.  Thanks.

Dexcon WrestleStorm 2 Results

Hello everyone.

Here are the results from Dexcon's WrestleStorm 2 held on Sunday night, March 16th.  The show took place at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City, Philippines before another sellout and boisterous crowd!

Congratulations to Dexcon, to Linus, Miguel and the staff for putting on another great show.  It looked like someone was enjoying things by dancing to some great music outside, and another, since it was 3-16 (Stone Cold Steve Austin Day), got stunned right in the middle of the ring!

On a more serious note, thank you to Dr. Gore (Singapore), Best Bros (Japan) and Yoshi Tatsu (Japan) for making the weekend greater.  I'm certain that Dexcon and the Pinoy wrestling fans want to see all of you return to the Philippines soon.

Congratulations to Main Maxx in making his first defense of the Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Championship against a major SEA Pro Wrestling star in Dr. Gore of SPW.

Also, congratulations to Dabid Ravena and Aaron Liwanag in becoming the new World Underground Wrestling Tag Team Champions!

Dabid and Aaron are the seventh tag team, and second Filipino tag team to win the titles going back to November 2022 when the titles were established in Japan.  Also, both wrestlers are wearing gold for the first time in their careers!

Here are the results......

Yoshi Tatsu and Jake De Leon d. Fabio Makisig and Jomar.

Robin Sane d. Isaiah Valencia.

Aaron Liwanag and Dabid Ravena d. TZK (Ken Cifer and St. John Martin) (c) and are the new World Underfround Wrestling Tag Team Champions.

Main Maxx (c) d. Dr. Gore and remains the Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Champion.

Joya d. Patricia Ligaia.

Best Bros (Bailyan Akki and Mei Suruga) d. Super Friends (Super P. & El Kapitunero).
