Dexcon's Next Events

Hello everyone.

 

Been a little while since the blogger has posted about Dexcon.  However, they've been a lot more busy that I have in preparing for their next event.  Also, this post may be a little lengthy, so please bear with me. 

 

For wrestling fans, especially in the Philippines, please make plans for the weekend of August 22-24 (Friday-Sunday).

 

It was announced per Dexcon that the event will kick off on Friday, August 22.  The event is the Manila debut of Baka Gaijin + Friends, a wild, must-see show featuring some of the most exciting and unpredictable wrestlers around.  The event will take place at The Social House in Circuit Makati, Ground Floor, Circuit Lane. 

 

Chris Brookes, no stranger to Dexcon and to pinoy wrestling fans, will be there for the event.

 

Speaking of Chris, the  DDT Pro KO-D Champion will be bringing an exciting wrestler with him by the name of Takeshi Masada to the three day event.  The event is in its very early stages so no opponents for them have yet to be named.  However, this fan knows that the opponents will be. more than worthy for the two mentioned.

 

Also, just a few days ago, it has been revealed that Dexcon has a new match maker.  Miguel Navarro, the match maker with World Underground Wrestling - Philippines, now has a dual role.  I'm sure we will hear from Miguel in the coming days about his new position.  And, maybe we will know more about a disappearance of the former match maker......

 

Tickets are not yet available for the three day weekend of August 22-24.  However, it may be a good idea to mark your calendars.  Knowing Dexcon like this fan does, they do not disappoint, and they won't disappoint this time either.

PUSO Wrestling Livestream VI Results

Hello everyone.

 

Here are the results from PUSO Livestream VI show that was held last Sunday, June 22nd at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City.  It was the first time this blogger had a chance to see two future young wrestlers in Gabriel Arcangel and Elmo.  The two opposed each other in part of a six person tag match.  Also, White Shirt was impressive in one of the other six person tag matches.

FPW Astig July Show Update #3

Hello everyone.

 

FPW Astig's next show will take place on Sunday, July 13th, Baked Studios in Makati City beginning at 2pm.

 

There have been a couple of matches and an announcement made since the last post.

 

First, Filipino Pro Wrestling has announced a new championship called the FPW Metro Manila Championship. There will be several qualifying matches to determine the inaugural champion.

 

The first qualifying match announced will feature the "Best Pure Wrestler" Ralph Imabayashi against The "King Of Pinoy Strong Style" Rex Lawin.  I don't know if this blogger mentioned this before, but it's great to see Rex Lawin back in the ring.

 

Also, "The Duke Of Shoot" Duke Ortega will take on Proximo in another qualifying match.

IWA SETUP EP02 - Whiplash Update #5

Hello everyone.

 

IWA SETUP EP02's next show, Whiplash. will take place this coming Saturday, June 28th at The Circus Studio beginning at 5:30pm.

 

Apologies to everyone for not getting this out earlier.  There is one match added to the show since the last post.

 

In a Loser Leaves Town Special Singles match, two of my favorites in Southeast Asian pro wrestling, Steve The Teacher will go one on one against Kru Pol.

 

This match will definitely be interesting.  Steve The Teacher is the veteran wrestler who has wrestled in America, China, Philippines and now, Thailand.  He has wrestled several times now in SETUP shows.  This blogger had a chance to meet him back in August 2023, the day that he made his return to the squared circle after an absence due to the covid pandemic.

 

Kru Pol, not yet the veteran, but improving in the square circle, is younger, getting more experience with each match, and is looking to take this match to the next level.  I've talked briefly with Kru Pol and he's excited at this opportunity.    

 

Yes, they are both teachers in their own right but which one will pass the exam and go to the next level?  And which one will stay in Thailand after this encounter?
