Hello everyone!

 

Things have been a little quiet for Filipino Pro Wrestling since last October's show.  

 

The promotion has definitely been back in training for the 2025 year.  Soon, we will find out the date of their first show.

 

Recently, Kojio Akumu visited FPW as part of a wrestling seminar in the Metro Manila area.  The session went very well and many positives came out of it.

 

As some of you may know, this blogger saw FPW Champion, Jeff Cobb a couple of weekend's ago at the NJPW Strong event in San Jose.  This fan was disappointed that Cobb didn't bring the FPW title with him to the ring (I didn't see it).  Then, his match against El Phantasmo for the IGWP TV Title was a double count out.  The Bay Area is a large Filipino area and it would have been nice to see the FPW belt with him.  Oh well!

 

There have been a lot of storylines over the winter in FPW.  One of the hottest storylines right now is LegenDarius and the Sigma faction.  There could be a possible interview on the horizon.  Please stay tuned for the possibility!

VPW Spring Bash Update #2

 

Hello everyone!

VPW Spring Bash, the first pro wrestling show of 2025, will take place on Saturday, February 22nd.  The location is the VAIB Studio D7 beginning at 7pm.  There is a Meet And Greet that begins one hour earlier at 6pm.

 

In the last post, the main event mentioned will feature Rocky Huynh vs. The British Horror in a return match from last November.  

 

From the video and results, The British Horror came up victorious.  This time, there has been a stipulation added to the match.

 

The encounter will now be a Devil's Barbershop Hair vs. Hair match.  The loser of the match must have his hair shaved off publicly after the completion.

Middle Kingdom Wrestling's Next Event!

Hello everyone!

 

Middle Kingdom Wrestling has announced their next pro wrestling show,  Battle Of The Decade 2015-2025!

 

The show is to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of MKW in the heart of China's historical capital, Beijing.  The event will take place on May 24th at the Dong3 Livehouse.

 

More information will be revealed soon after the Chinese New Year holiday!  Thank you! 

Nordic Elite Wrestling

Hello everyone!

 

Per a couple of my wrestling friends in Finland, both mentioned a couple of wrestling promotions out of Denmark.  There was one promotion that struck this blogger well.  Fans in Denmark have read this blog since its inception back in October 2023.

 

The wrestling promotion is known as Nordic Elite Wrestling.  The promotion appears to be based out of Copenhagen, the capital and the most populous city of about 1.4 million in the urban area.

 

They were organized in 2021 with their first show, NEW New Horizons, taking place in February 2022.  In the three years of the promotion, Nordic Elite Wrestling has had 23 shows, roughly eight per year, a good clip.

 

Reading the comments of the promotion, the fans feel that this promotion is growing and growing from Day One!  They are entertaining and have good storylines.

 

NEW, for short, has two titles.  They are the NEW Title and NEW Tag Team Title.  Emilian Lewis is the singles champion while Party Of Power (Benny Bacchus & Viggen Thunderboldt) are the tag champs.

 

Regulars who have appeared at the show include Daz Black (PBW and PWS champions recently at a SETUP Thailand event), Carlos Zamora, Pete Phoenix, Saim Ashfaq, Inferno (Rayo Flores and Kym), the title holders that I mentioned and many more.

 

NEW's next event is January 31-February 1st with an event called WrestleFest 2025 in Copenhagen.  I will do an update early next week regarding the show.
