Shoutout To WUW - Philippines Underground Vlog

Hello everyone.

This blogger would like to give a shoutout to a new vlog called WUW - Philippines Underground Vlog.

Co Hosts - Ken Cifer and Ravena recently shared their first episode on You Tube.  This blogger has never done a blog but has been on once with Darius from Filipino Pro Wrestling.  It's not easy to do one of these.  I'm sure that Ken and Ravena probably felt that wrestling might be easier for them.  Yet, they came through very well with their inaugural version.

Notwithstanding, I spent an hour this morning watching the hour plus with them.  They shared a WUW match from the past with the chained ropes and all that.  It was the first time seeing this match that had more than one competitor.

Following the video, they shared things wrestling related including trading cards which this fan has a couple of sets of.

This blogger recommends watching it.  Congrats to Ken and Ravena on this.  Here is the link to the vlog listed below this paragraph.  Please enjoy watching and subscribe to the vlog.  Thanks again.

Wrestling Comments From SFWayne

Hello everyone.

Recently on social media, this blogger, and wrestling fans throughout Southeast Asia, have been seeing negative comments, negative hate towards some wrestlers and things negative about wrestling promotions.

When I started this blog a while back, it was to get away from the stuff that I saw, and still see, in North American wrestling.  Fans were, and still are doing today, show their frustration on social media towards this wrestler or towards a certain company.  You wonder what their lives are outside wrestling...

This fan chose Southeast Asia Pro Wrestling because it was, and still is, a breath of fresh air.  It was something I knew nothing at all about until 2019.

During the covid pandemic, this fan started learning about all the different promotions past and present.  It was eye opening!

At the time of this blog's beginning, pro wrestling in the region was roughly 10 years old.  I felt that by sharing information regarding the promotions throughout the region, more fans would come to the shows and be entertained and happy with what they were seeing.  Definitely, the blog has done just that.

All the wrestling promotions in Southeast Asia are NOT WWE, AEW, NJPW, etc.  They are all independent promotions.  From my experience of watching several shows live, and on You Tube and other streams, each one has improved since the day I found out about SEA Wrestling.  The staffs of every promotion, as well as every wrestler who has walked through the doors, have done the very best to get better in their craft.  Each promotion has social media outlets.  They have ways of buying tickets.  They have their own wrestlers do promos for upcoming shows.

In the two and a half years at this, each of the 12 promotions and Dexcon have done their part, and then some.  They have made sports entertainment better and better wherever the shows are happening whether its SETUP, TOP Dojo, SPW, ROR, FPW, VPW, Grapplemax, APAC, MYPW, WUW Philippines, Dexcon and PUSO.

This blog has NEVER been one to criticize a group and a wrestler in SEA Wrestling, and it never will!  My position is to provide information on an upcoming show and to provide results.  Also, I do my best to help promotions in getting people to buy tickets for the upcoming shows!

However, from time to time, when this blogger sees that unnecessary and mean criticism about a promotion, wrestler, staff or fans are happening on social media, it's time to say something!

Criticism, if it's done in a constructive way, can possibly be helpful.  However, what this fan is seeing of late doesn't help anyone, especially the fans who want to go, or attend a show.  That includes tribalism which this fan detests.

So, for those of you that are going to a show in your country this month, please enjoy what your promotion is putting out there.  They are trying their very best.....and that's for you, the fans!  The wrestlers are risking themselves each time though they are trained to do what they do.

In the meantime, please continue to read and enjoy this blog.  Feel free to comment anytime and please let your friends know about it.  Thanks again!
