WrestleStorm 2 Update #4

Hello everyone.

 

Things are getting interesting in Quezon City and at the Brawl Pit Bulusan.

 

Dexcon Match Maker - Linus Santos has pulled a fast one (or has he?) on WUW - Philippines Match Maker - Miguel Navarro.

 

The WUW Philippines Tag Team Champions, TZK (St. John Martin and Ken Cifer) said that they would defend their tag team championships at WrestleStorm 2.  

 

Linus had been absent over the past few days when two matches were made, courtesy of Miguel.  All of the sudden, on Valentine's Day, no less, TZK's biggest test has been announced.

 

There was an apparent proposal, according to Linus from Mr. Sy.  TZK's opponent will be Dabid Ravena and Aaron Liwanag from PUSO Wrestling.  

 

Despite Linus continuing to talk about Lakers GM, Rob Pelinka, who knows nothing about pro wrestling by the way, this fan will say this.  Linus did come up with a great opponent for the champions.  This blogger has the utmost respect for Ravena and Liwanag.  They are strong, tough, and can defeat anyone at anytime.  However, this is the first time that they've teamed up together so this match should be a banger!

 

This blogger has been told that the other matches that Match Maker - Miguel made this week will stay intact (for the moment anyway....).  This blogger will find out what the proposal is, eventually.

WrestleStorm 2 Update #3

Hello everyone!

 

We have another announcement to make regarding WrestleStorm 2 scheduled for Sunday, March 16th.  The show will take place at the Brawl Pit Bulusan beginning at 6pm.

 

If you thought yesterday's announcement was a shocker, wait until you see what is mentioned for today.

 

Once again, conspicuous by the absence of Dexcon Match Maker, Linus, according to the Dexcon - DXCN Facebook page, a huge announcement has been made.

 

The team of Mei Suruka and Akki known as Best Bros will be coming to the Philippines and the Brawl Pit Bulusan.  They are well known in team in Japan.

 

For those of you who do not know who the two wrestlers are, here is a little background.  My apologies if this is a little long.

 

Mei Suruga is a Japanese female wrestler that is part of ChocoPro.  Also, she works for Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling and with DDT.  She was trained by Emi Sakura, one of the greats and a familiar name in Southeast Asia.  I saw a quote once about her that said "every time she makes an appearance, she lights up the venue!"

 

Akki (and hopefully I have this correct because this is the only one I know ) goes by the full name of Baliyan Akki.  The Indian born wrestler started his career with Wrestle Square.  He would become part of ChocoPro in 2017, a couple of years later.  He has made appearances in several of the Japanese promotions as well as briefly in North America.

 

Along with Mei Suruga, the team known as Best Bros, won the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship at an event known as ChocoPro 76 on December 31, 2020.

 

The blogger, almost forgot, but they will be facing a team according to the Dexcon - DXCN Facebook page,  who’ve been sending signals across the galaxy… of Asia!  However, the name of the team has not yet been officially been named.....

 

Let me see now.....there was a team that, last Sunday at the end of the PUSO Wrestling Livestream III show, would take on anyone in the Philippines, or Southeast Asia, or anywhere on the planet!  

 

My suggestion would be to check out the PUSO Wrestling Livestream III video on You Tube and your answer is very likely at the end of the video.  Since the name of the team wasn't officially on Dexcon's post, this blogger will not name the team.  However, it is assumed that the team is Super Friends from PUSO Wrestling.  Again, it is not official as of this post.

Congratulations To Miguel Navarro & Linus Santos

Hello everyone.

 

On behalf of Pro Wrestling Today, congratulations to Miguel Navarro, a World Underground Wrestling - Philippines.  It was announced last week that Miguel has been promoted to Match Maker with the promotion.  There is no question that Miguel deserves this honor!

 

Also, congratulations to Dexcon and Match Maker, Linus Santos on nearly two full years on promoting Dexcon events.  It looks like this year, both WUW - Philippines and Dexcon will provide some great wrestling, and definitely some surprises for wrestling fans at the Brawl Pit Bulusan.

WrestleStorm 2 Update #1

Hello everyone! 

Dexcon Pro Wrestling's show, WrestleStorm 2 will take place on Saturday, March 16th at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City, PH. beginning at 6pm.  Though General Admission tickets are sold out, there are tickets still available for the event.  Please visit the Dexcon - DXCN Facebook page for more information.

 

Legendary Japan wrestler, Yoshi Tatsu will appear at the show.  Also scheduled are TZK (St. John Martin and Ken Cifer) who will defend the World Underground Wrestling - Philippines tag team belts.  The Red Lightning, Robin Sane, Mr. Philippine Wrestling, Jake De Leon and Super Friends (Super P. and El Kapitunero) will be appearing as well.  In the days ahead, there will be matches made.  Match Maker Linus has done a great job in securing the talent for this show.  Don't be surprised if there are a few names added to the show!

TZK To Defend Titles At WrestleStorm 2

Hello everyone.

 

World Underground Wrestling Tag Team Champions, St. John Martin and Ken Cifer, known as TZK, will be defending their titles at WrestleStorm 2 put on by Dexcon.  Who will their opponents be?  TZK is currently the longest reigning champions in World Underground Wrestling Tag Team history!

 

The show is scheduled for Saturday, March 16th at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City. The show is slated to start at 6pm!

 

Also appearing at the event are Yoshi Tatsu, one of the biggest superstars in Japanese Pro Wrestling history.  

 

Jake De Leon, who had an incredible 2024 in the Philippines, and throughout Asia, will be making a highly anticipated return to the ring!

 

The Super Friends (Super P and El Kapitunero), coming off a show in Singapore, will be appearing at the Brawl Pit Bulusan awaiting action.

 

Finally, Robin Sane, is aiming for redemption in a career defining moment against an opponent yet to be named.  Last November, at the SETUP Thailand show, Robin, along with Monomoth, nearly won the IWA SETUP Tag Team belts against The Good Deal.  It is still a match that has been talked about in Thailand today!

This Blogger's One Time Seeing Yoshitatsu

Hello everyone!

 

When learning of a legendary wrestler, Yoshitatsu, coming to the Philippines in March, the reaction was "Oh My God!"

 

For those of you who bought tickets for the Dexcon Wrestlestorm 2 show in March, you are in for the show of the ages!  Speaking of the show, it take place on Saturday, March 16th at the Brawl Pit Bulusan.  General admission tickets for the show are SOLD OUT but tickets remain.  Please visit the Dexcon Facebook page for more information.

 

This blogger's experience watching Yoshitatsu was definitely a very memorable one.  It was my first independent show in California.  The wrestling promotion was All Pro Wrestling based out of Daly City, near San Francisco.  It was in 2016.

 

The show featured some memorable names that you may have heard of.  From memory, they were a young Jeff Cobb, Marty Janetty (the Rockers), MVP and a local product, a favorite by the name of Matt Carlos.  When finding out that Yoshitatsu was appearing, a ticket was quickly purchased.  This fan knew of his days in WWE around 2010-2011.  I remembered a house show that he appeared in down in San Jose but was unable to attend.

 

The show was called Friday The 13th at the Pacelli Event Center (will find the photo later) in May.

 

With several hundred fans in attendance, Yoshitatsu faced Joey Ryan in a singles match. He won with a koji clutch.  That was one to remember.

 

Hopefully, fans in the Philippines and throughout Southeast Asia will get a chance to see Yoshitatsu at least once live in their lives.  He is definitely a must see!

 

Just ask the fans who were in Thailand regarding a legend that they saw in Naomichi Marafuji last Saturday night at a SETUP Thailand show!

Wrestlestorm 2 Announcement

Hello everyone!

 

Wrestlestorm 2, sponsored by Dexcon, will take place on Saturday, March 16th at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City, PH.

 

I'm sure that everyone is awaiting an announcement on the first wrestler that will appear on the show.  Knowing Dexcon like I do, seeing the likes of a Zach Sabre Jr., the Calamari Drunken Kings and/or Alexis Lee  could appear again one day soon.

 

Dexcon has come up with another magical name for this year.  How about Yoshi Tatsu!  This will open the eyes of wrestling fans both locally and internationally.

 

According to Dexcon's press release, a former WWE Superstar and a standout in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Yoshi has left his mark all over the globe with his electrifying style!  This may very well be a once in a lifetime chance to see this great and legendary wrestler in action!

Dexcon / WUW Philippines Announcement

Dexcon and World Underground Wrestling - Philippines have just announced two shows this coming spring.

 

The Dexcon event, DXCN Wrestlestorm 2 will take place on Sunday, March 16th.

 

A few weeks later, on Saturday, April 5th, WUW Philippines will host an event, Master Clash.

 

Both shows will take place at the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City, Philippines.
