Hello everyone.
This fan definitely enjoys pro wrestling and definitely loves tag team matches. The upcoming tag team match coming up at the SETUP Thailand EP21 Double Cross show features two of my favorite tag teams in Southeast Asia.
The Good Deal (Anont Alonzo and Mr. Suchart) are the current SETUP / IWA Tag Team Champions. They will defend the belts against Singapore's favorite tag team of Jack N' Cheese (BGJ and CBK).
Let me start with the challengers first. Both BGJ and CBK have wrestled in singles competition. However, this fan believes their best success has been as a tag team. From memory here, but I believe the team, Jack N' Cheese, emerged in early 2024 at the first Singapore Pro Wrestling show. Fans at the Foo Chow Building rallied behind the team right away. Their rivalry with the Midnight B***s was, and still is one that fans remember.
They would win the SPW Southeast Asian Tag Team Title #1 contendership in November in a three way match in Singapore. They would defeat The Wonderboy and Miles Karu (MYPW) by DQ in Singapore for the belts. However, they've been "refused" a rematch as of this post.
Jack N' Cheese has also wrestled in Vietnam at a VPW show in December for the VPW Tag Team Title. In fact, one half of the team, BGJ, along with another partner, The Eurasian Dragon, won the VPW Tag Team belts back in June 2023. They would defend the titles a couple of times in Singapore before losing in a fatal four way match in October.
For Jack N' Cheese, this will be their first visit in Thailand.
The Good Deal is a team that I've enjoyed watching since the formation. Up until July 2023, both Anont Alonzo and Mr. Suchart wrestled in singles competition. Then at the EP14 show, The Good Deal defeated St. John's Innocent College in what was termed as a "Special Tag Team Match."
Two months later, In September, The Good Deal became the first Thailand tag team world champions in history! There would be a tournament to determine the champion. In two separate three way tag matches, The Good Deal would defeat four other teams in would win the the SETUP / IWA Japan belts.
Their rivalries against St. John's Innocent College and the Calamari Drunken Kings are legendary at The Circus Studio. Fans who have seen the teams they've faced have definitely been worthy opponents. As of this post, The Good Deal has held the belts for 222 days and have defended it successfully on a couple of occasions.
You can say that the fans who will flock The Circus Studio in about two weeks are looking forward to this encounter.
